Tammy is a remarkable individual and a source of pride for Coconino County as a Third Generation Arizona native with deep roots in the community. With an impressive tenure of over 28 years as a successful business owner, Tammy brings a wealth of experience and a nuanced understanding of budgets and fiscal responsibility. Currently serving as the Chair and a dedicated member of the Planning & Zoning Commission, Tammy exemplifies proven leadership qualities and a comprehensive grasp of crucial land use issues. Her commendable history of preserving natural landscapes within the county underscores a genuine commitment to environmental stewardship. Tammy participated in shaping the 2015 Coconino County Comprehensive Plan update and contributed to the development of the Renewable Energy Ordinance, showcasing her dedication to progressive and sustainable growth. Tammy’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of Coconino County positions her as a dedicated advocate for positive change and continued community development.
About Tammy
Tammy was born in Cottonwood and moved to Flagstaff when she was 6 months old. She attended K-10 in Flagstaff and Williams and completed her junior and senior years in Cottonwood where she graduated from Mingus Union High School. She later attended Yavapai Community College and earned a degree in Paralegal Studies.
A constant throughout her life has been spending time on family property in Parks where she grew up horseback riding, lived and raised her children for a period of time, and learned from her grandfather and parents how to be a good steward of the land. She has been a business owner in the Williams/Red Lake area for 28 years and has served on the Coconino County Planning and Zoning Commission for 13 years, currently as Chair.
She enjoys relationships with her children, grandchildren and family. Over the years Tammy has volunteered at her church, and she actively works to decrease pet overpopulation through sponsoring spays/neuters and participating in a TNR Program. Tammy enjoys travel, skiing, biking, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

I think Tammy is a great choice for the role of District 3 County Supervisor. Her parents and grandparents were ranchers here, and she grew up living in this area and loving it. She is a fair and honest person, a critical thinker and clear communicator, is observant to what needs attention, is a hard worker, and will get the job done right.
With respect to her years of service on the P&Z Commission, her integrity and strong but principled leadership has been an invaluable contribution to good government that works, but also works in the best interests of the county as a whole.
Tammy brings positivity with her everywhere she goes. She has excellent critical thinking and communication skills and is open and transparent in her decision making. She is a highly ethical person who has no problem standing behind any decision she makes and is willing to explain her thought process if needed. She is also fair and balanced and willing to hear and consider views and ideas that are in opposition of her own and consider them in her decision making if she finds that they are valid or hold weight.
